Collaborators
Collaborators let other people work on a feed you own: suggesting posts, adding or removing them, pinning, running backfills or proposing rule changes. You choose exactly what each person can do, and you stay the owner.
Opening the Collaborators page
On your feed's page, click the person icon (Collaborators) in the header. The page lists everyone who can work on the feed, starting with you as Owner ("everything, including publishing and deleting the feed").
Anyone with access to the feed can see this page. Only the owner and people with Manage collaborators can change it; everyone else sees "You can see who works on this feed, but not change it."
Adding someone
- Under Add someone, click Who are you adding? and search by name, handle or DID.
- Pick the right account from the results. You'll see their avatar and name, so you can check it's the person you mean. Choose someone else clears it.
- Optionally add a Note, such as "weekend editor".
- Pick a preset, or tick the capabilities you want (see below).
- Click Add collaborator.
They get access straight away. The person doesn't need to have used Graze before; the access is waiting for them when they sign in.
Capabilities
The list runs from least to most powerful.
- Suggest posts: put a post forward for somebody else to accept. Nothing reaches the feed until it's accepted, so this is the one capability that can't change what readers see on its own.
- Add posts naturally: put a post into the feed as if it had matched the rules. It keeps its own timestamp and moves down the feed normally.
- Add posts to the top: put a post in stamped with the current time, so it appears at the top of the feed right away.
- Remove posts: take a post out of the feed, such as junk, spam, or a rumour that shouldn't be amplified. The post stays on Bluesky; it just stops appearing in your feed.
- Manage pinned posts: pin and unpin posts at the top of the feed, and set when a pin expires.
- Run backfills: re-scan recent history so posts that should have matched are pulled in.
- Edit the feed's rules: change what the feed matches. A collaborator's rule changes are saved as a draft and only reach readers when the owner publishes.
- Manage collaborators: add and remove other people. They can only ever grant what they have themselves.
Some capabilities include others:
- Add posts to the top includes Add posts naturally and Remove posts.
- Add posts naturally includes Suggest posts, so the people who can add posts can also see and accept suggestions.
If you can't grant a capability, its box is greyed out with "You cannot grant this, because you do not have it yourself."
Presets
Presets are starting points that tick boxes for you. You can change the boxes afterwards.
- suggester: Suggest posts.
- contributor: Add posts naturally.
- moderator: Suggest posts and Remove posts.
- curator: Add posts naturally, Add posts to the top, Remove posts and Manage pinned posts.
- producer: everything a curator has, plus Run backfills and Edit the feed's rules.
Changing or removing someone
Each person's row shows their name, handle, note and capabilities.
- Change lets you edit their capabilities, then Save changes. If you untick everything, Graze offers to remove them instead, because someone with no capabilities would stay listed but couldn't open the feed.
- Remove asks you to confirm: they lose access immediately and need to be added again to get it back.
Granting access from a Bluesky list
Under From a list, you can give everyone on a public Bluesky list the same capabilities. The roster follows the list: add someone to the list and they get access; take them off and they lose it.
- Click Bind a list.
- Paste the List link (for example
https://bsky.app/profile/someone/lists/...). - Tick what Everyone on it can do.
- Click Bind list.
Each bound list shows its capabilities and when it last synced. Graze re-syncs bound lists regularly, and Sync now does it immediately. Unbind removes the list and everyone it added.
People added from a list show "From a bound list — change the list to change this." You can't edit or remove them individually; change the list instead. Anyone you also added by hand keeps their own access whatever the list says. If a sync fails (for example the list can't be read), you'll see "Last sync failed…" and the people already added keep their access.
Feed history
At the bottom of the page, Feed history records who did what: people being added, changed, removed or leaving, posts added (in their own place or to the top), pins, backfills, proposed rule changes, publishing and more. Filter by person to see one collaborator's actions.
If a feed is shared with you
Feeds you collaborate on appear in your sidebar's feed list alongside your own, and under Shared with you. A notification next to Feeds in the sidebar tells you when something changes on a feed shared with you, including being removed.
What you can do on the feed depends on your capabilities. For example, with Run backfills you use the feed's normal backfill button, and with Edit the feed's rules you can edit and save a draft. Publishing, deleting the feed, restoring old versions and Feed Pulse stay with the owner.
To leave a feed, open its Collaborators page, find yourself (marked as you) and click Leave feed. You'll lose access until the owner adds you again.
Suggestions and the Curation Desk
People with Suggest posts put posts forward, and people who can add posts accept or reject them. See Curation Desk for the queue, keyboard shortcuts, and adding posts automatically once enough people suggest them.
