@oops.wtf

Hi, Iโ€™m @oops.wtf, a developer and feed curator with a focus on high-quality content from and about Indonesia. I run several feeds across Bluesky that center on news, culture, food, and art, with a mix of local and international perspectives. Each is crafted with care, informed by trusted sources and manually curated lists, with moderation enabled by default to maintain a safe, relevant experience.

๐Ÿ“ก My Feeds

Hereโ€™s a selection of the feeds I maintain:

  • ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฉ Cakrawala Indonesia โ€“ A cluster feed capturing Indonesiaโ€™s diverse conversations.
  • ๐Ÿ”ฅ Trendinesia โ€“ Highlights trending posts from the Cakrawala Indonesia feed.
  • ๐Ÿ› Kulineria โ€“ A daily selection of Indonesian food from social networks.
  • ๐ŸŒ Culinr โ€“ A broader feed of global culinary discoveries.
  • ๐Ÿ“ฐ Ruang Redaksi โ€“ Curated news and headlines from reliable Indonesian outlets.
  • ๐ŸŒ The Correspondent โ€“ Tracks how Indonesia is covered in international news.
  • ๐Ÿ“Œ Indoscoop โ€“ A feed for timely, general-interest updates on Indonesia.
  • ๐Ÿง  IndoBrief โ€“ Curated reports and insights from think tanks and analysts.
  • ๐ŸŽจ Arsawarna โ€“ A showcase of Indonesian artists and their work, pulled from hashtags and curated lists.

International feeds include:

  • ๐Ÿ’ก Idea Feed โ€“ Thought-provoking commentary and essays.
  • ๐Ÿ’พ GitHub Gist โ€“ Interesting code snippets and dev tools from GitHub.
  • ๐ŸŒ Int. Affair โ€“ Global news and geopolitics.
  • ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡พ Malaysian Cluster โ€“ Feeds exploring Malaysian topics.

๐ŸŒฑ Reach & Audience

Collectively, my feeds attract around 145 daily active users (DAU), with Cakrawala Indonesia alone reaching 100 DAU. Users follow my feeds for quality, consistency, and discoverability โ€” many refresh daily to catch updates. Because feeds like these are human-curated and moderation-aware, users tend to trust them more than unfiltered timelines.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Advertising Policy

Iโ€™m currently opening space for limited promoted content across selected feeds. Key points for advertisers:

  • Low entry CPM, especially for small or public-interest orgs.
  • Preferred categories: journalism, the arts, culinary brands, civic or cultural campaigns.
  • The #promote hashtag is mandatory for every promoted post, allowing full transparency and opt-out functionality for users.
  • Saturation varies per feed โ€” for example, more frequent in Culinr, lighter in IndoBrief and The Correspondent. No feed will ever be spammy.

I aim to make sponsored content as native and non-intrusive as possible โ€” relevant to each feed's tone and topic, and always clearly marked.

๐Ÿค Why Iโ€™m Doing This

My motivation isnโ€™t just to monetize โ€” itโ€™s to build sustainability for moderation, curation, and community tools across Bluesky. I'm currently exploring ways to allocate a portion of ad revenue toward supporting third-party development and community support efforts, especially in Southeast Asia.

I operate entirely independently of Bluesky PBC, and all ad policies are transparent and designed to respect user control and trust.

If you're a publisher, brand, or collective that aligns with these values and wants to promote a message, product, or project โ€” let's talk. Reach out via @oops.wtf on Bluesky, Signal/SimpleX: dm.oops.wtf, or email (available on request).
